Grind and Seal Workshop in Salem
What we built and how it holds.
Detached workshop a few minutes from our Quinton-Marlboro Road shop. The owner wanted the natural concrete look with real protection. We diamond-ground the surface flat, then sealed with a matte penetrating sealer.
The job started where every Triumph job starts — with the slab. We diamond-ground the existing concrete to a clean profile, not an acid wash. Cracks, joints, and any spalled edges were chased out, filled, and feathered flush. Moisture readings were taken before any coating went down, because nothing kills a floor faster than putting a topcoat over a slab that’s still breathing water.
For Salem, we specified a polyurea base coat keyed deep into the prepared concrete, then layered the decorative finish, and locked it all under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. That system is roughly four times tougher than legacy epoxy, cures fast enough to walk that evening, and shrugs off the salt, hot tires, and freeze-thaw cycles South Jersey throws at it. The result is a floor that looks good on day one — and is still flat, sealed, and bonded ten years from now.
