Driveway Coatings in Salem, NJ
Built for Salt, Sun & Freeze-Thaw
Tough polyaspartic finishes that seal out de-icing salt, resist freeze-thaw cracking, and shrug off daily vehicle weight. Diamond-ground prep — never an acid wash.

Why South Jersey Driveways Fail
And How a Real Coating Stops It.
Most driveways in Salem, Gloucester, Camden, and Burlington counties weren’t poured to handle what we throw at them. Freeze-thaw cycles open hairline cracks every winter. The sun bakes the surface. Tire weight grinds the same two ruts season after season.
Then the de-icing salt arrives. Calcium chloride and rock salt soak into untreated concrete, attack the rebar underneath, and accelerate spalling — the flaky, pitted surface you see on every old driveway in the neighborhood. Once a slab starts spalling, sealing it is a band-aid. Coating it correctly is the fix.
A polyurea / polyaspartic system, installed over diamond-ground concrete with proper crack and joint repair, locks moisture and salt out of the slab. UV-stable topcoats hold their color through July sun and January snowplows. That’s the difference between a coating that lasts and one that peels off in two summers.
Six Reasons a Polyaspartic Driveway Outlasts Bare Concrete
Engineered for de-icing salt, hot tires, and South Jersey freeze-thaw — not just looks.
De-Icing Salt Resistance
Polyaspartic topcoats are non-porous — calcium chloride, rock salt, and brine sit on the surface and rinse off instead of soaking into your slab.
Freeze-Thaw Cracking Protection
Crack chase, joint fill, and a flexible polyurea base coat absorb the slab’s seasonal movement so hairline cracks don’t telegraph through the finish.
Hot-Tire Pickup Resistant
After a summer highway drive, hot tires can lift cheap epoxy clean off the slab. Polyaspartic doesn’t soften at tire temperatures — it stays put.
Easier Snow Removal
A smooth, sealed surface releases ice and snow cleanly. Shovels glide. Plow blades don’t catch open pores. Less work, less surface damage every winter.
UV-Stable Color
Polyaspartic clear coats don’t yellow or chalk in direct sunlight. The color you see on install day is the color you see five summers later.
Hides Minor Surface Damage
Decorative flake or solid-color systems hide spider cracks, pits, and old surface staining — without trying to pass them off as “repaired.”

Diamond Grinding & Crack Repair
We diamond-grind the entire surface to a clean profile, chase and fill cracks, repair spalled edges, and clean joints. No acid wash. Ever.
Polyurea Base Coat
A flexible polyurea base coat goes down, bonded into the open profile. If decorative flake is part of the system, it’s broadcast to refusal at this stage.
UV-Stable Polyaspartic Topcoat
A UV-stable polyaspartic clear topcoat seals everything in — salt-resistant, hot-tire proof, and ready to drive on in about 24 hours.

Driveway Coating
Questions, Answered.
Yes. A polyaspartic topcoat is non-porous, so calcium chloride, rock salt, brine, and ice-melt sit on the surface and wash off. Untreated concrete soaks all of that in and spalls — coated concrete doesn’t.
Most of the time, yes. We chase and fill cracks, repair spalled edges, and feather joints before any color goes down. If the slab is structurally failing (heaving, sinking, or large open separations), we’ll tell you on the estimate — a coating won’t fix a broken slab and we won’t pretend otherwise.
Properly prepped polyaspartic systems are spec’d for 15+ years of residential use, including freeze-thaw and full UV exposure. The single biggest factor in longevity is prep — which is why we diamond-grind every job and never acid wash.
No. Hot-tire pickup is a known failure mode for cheap epoxy and DIY kits. Polyaspartic doesn’t soften at tire temperatures, so it stays bonded to the slab even after a hot summer highway drive into the garage.
Prep. Diamond grinding opens the concrete profile so the polyurea base coat mechanically bonds into the slab — not just sticks to a sealed surface. Acid wash and pressure-wash-only prep are the #1 reason coatings lift. We don’t do either.
Coating a sound slab is typically a fraction of the cost of demo and re-pour — and you keep your driveway useable through the install. If the slab is too far gone we’ll say so. We’d rather walk away from a job than coat something that won’t hold.
